Knightly Times

Knightly Times

A Poem by Christopher 'Windstorm' Kells

By Windstorm Kells ©2003

Gone are days

Long past

Time before time

End of a beginning

Man seeks himself

Clan verses clan

A world cleaning

Men in armor

No easy kill

Hubris drives the steak the heart

Herbs took the place of the pill

To live

Was the journeys start

Common

Poor

No social setting

Except chieftain

Striving to do well in deed

Mans fate unsure

No lives on VHS tape

Men die

Taken too soon then late

Lives lived

Foolishly

Behold a seeker of happiness

Suffocating death

Righting evils unjust

Blades cutting tender caresses

This is very good! It reminded me of something I would read in an old novel. Maybe about King Arthur. I loved the flow. It is a great piece of poetry and should be shared!
