A Poem by Wilyem Clark

This key doesn't fit in any lock,
This peg won't slide into holes in the block;
This actor's miscast in every play,
This dithery pilot has lost his way.
*
But the key, I think, may open a mind,
The peg may allow a kite's spool to unwind;
The actor may author a wonderful drama,
While the pilot may true his course dressed as a lama.

About
I've been writing poems since my teens (now in my 60s) and prose since the 1990s. It's been hard finding decent forums online--the free websites too often suffer sudden deaths. My "published" works ar.. more..
