War ForeverA Poem by Wilyem Clark
In the midst of the sturdiest peace,
Hotheads find pretexts for war. Is it pride, or boredom, Or simple insanity That drives these thugs, With their armies in tow, Toward their own executions? O where are the slayers of yesteryear, The assassins of dragons such as today's? Ah, yes--they are leading their gentle nations Into the hellfire maws of extinction. © 2022 Wilyem Clark |
