Untitled [part 2]

Untitled [part 2]

A Poem by Wilyem Clark

Shame on you, hostess, for making us gorge;
A bird is for stuffing, not dear Uncle George!
We needed red wagons and all of our strength
To cart ourselves off after feasting at length.
Next Thanksgiving, I'd like to suggest--if I may--
That we break from tradition and fast the whole day.

About
I've been writing poems since my teens (now in my 60s) and prose since the 1990s. It's been hard finding decent forums online--the free websites too often suffer sudden deaths. My "published" works ar.. more..
