AdamA Poem by Wilyem Clark
They raise their chins for Adam;
Adam disrupts their idiomatic thoughts, Lifts the stormfronts from their brows, Casts rays of sunlight, blinding them With joyous contemplations. A weightless wraith, he brightens a room Like a glowworm lantern, a gossamer torch That diffuses gladness. I hear he skydives, too, Daring earth to abort his flight, Imploring air to bear him up A moment longer. His pinnatifid body, Feather-light, wafts him wherever Desire lies, even to this Dim, dire bar, Where, circling on angel-feet, not wings, He becomes our aeronaut. © 2021 Wilyem Clark |
