Cats in the Freezer

Cats in the Freezer

A Poem by Wilyem Clark

Just because she loved them so,
Into the freezer they would go--
P***y One through P***y Five,
Once they ceased to be alive.
And when she had breathed her last,
Into the cold she too was cast,
For her son transferred the lot
Into an arctic burial plot.

I can't quite tell if this is funny or tragic, but an enjoyable read none-the-less!

Ha-ha! This could've been written about my eldest sister. Sometimes, I think it might be better to not be loved so much. I seem to remember Egyptian royalty liked to take their kitties "with them" as well.

The things we do for love, eh? Well, Mom got her final rest apropos of her feline affinity. Good thing she didn't build ships in bottles I suppose. First there would have been p***y under glass. Them Mom all corked up and on the mantle.

About
I've been writing poems since my teens (now in my 60s) and prose since the 1990s. It's been hard finding decent forums online--the free websites too often suffer sudden deaths. My "published" works ar.. more..
