UntitledA Poem by Wilyem Clark
In the fullness of time
I will stabilize, I will find my proper orbit Among the gassy giants. Once in place and with a sense of purpose, I will spin, Not erratically, But with precision. My magnetic fields will generate An atomic hum That submarines may use To measure delta-tees, That stopwatch-clickers may consult To calibrate their chronographs; A periodic pulse The solar system may depend on To correct for minor Gravitational spasms. Thus I'll devote my narrowing existence To acts that benefit The cosmic totality. © 2020 Wilyem Clark |
