A Poem by Wilyem Clark

I am the pachinko ball
That fell too fast,
That landed too far
In the billiard blast.
I am the pellet
That does not score points
In the ping and pong
Of the pinball joints.
I am the clacker
That makes much noise
But has so little impact
On the gaming boys.
I am the bubble
Going down in the drink;
Defying all odds,
I can only sink.

About
I've been writing poems since my teens (now in my 60s) and prose since the 1990s. It's been hard finding decent forums online--the free websites too often suffer sudden deaths. My "published" works ar.. more..
