A Few Questions

A Poem by Wilyem Clark

What is the significance of this:
That the one who can claim the highest score
In my tests of compatibility
Is a thoroughbred demi-lunatic?
Does this result throw into doubt
The status of my own sanity,
Or, if he fills in my missing half,
Does he complete the recipe,
My bitterness balanced by his sweet?
Fanatical creature, he can't be controlled,
Only cajoled or bribed to conform
To behavior I deem to be the norm,
But is that fair? In a way, I prefer
The mynah bird,
Squawking away on its resolute branch,
To a prim, proud turkey confined to a pen,
Wattle-gobbling bluster before the fell swoop.

Live we for love and idleness, there is not else worth having, is the significance.
This poem is very individual and new. Which is such a difficult thing to find in poetry it seems.
Well said. :]s
