A Poem by Wilyem Clark

Call up a cloud to cover me
Here in the heat of midafternoon;
Send me a shower of August snow,
As once I encountered in British Columbia.
Grant me the patience to put up with twits
And dullards and dopes--the whole sorry lot!
Placate my rage and embalm me with peace
So that I may withstand this febrility.

About
I've been writing poems since my teens (now in my 60s) and prose since the 1990s. It's been hard finding decent forums online--the free websites too often suffer sudden deaths. My "published" works ar.. more..
