A Poem by Wilyem Clark

Excited birdies cachinnate
Like lustful bacchanalians
Who romp before the grapes are ripe.
Little fluffs, do shush and stow away
Your avid springtime ecstasies,
For further blows are on their way;
They'll bludgeon you with stormy fists
And leave your tufts in disarray--
The revels must wait for warmer days.

About
I've been writing poems since my teens (now in my 60s) and prose since the 1990s. It's been hard finding decent forums online--the free websites too often suffer sudden deaths. My "published" works ar.. more..
