A Poem by Wilyem Clark

The untethered Mylar balloon,
Star-shaped party favor
Held aloft by erratic winds,
Skirted the tops of spindly trees.
Catching an updraft, it ascended
To reaches imperceptible, invisible
To human eyes,
Assimilated into immensurable
Cerulean plasma.
                       Later that day,
A slew of reports: Casual watchers
Had clocked the progress of
A vagabond UFO.

About
I've been writing poems since my teens (now in my 60s) and prose since the 1990s. It's been hard finding decent forums online--the free websites too often suffer sudden deaths. My "published" works ar.. more..
