A Poem by Wilyem Clark

Two halves of a whole:
One who can put up,
One who cannot.
Stoic and starver,
Autonomous depender,
Cold water running,
Hot on the boil,
Meticulous, tranquil,
Cantankerous, careless,
Chaste . . . and chaste . . .
(But not fond of chastity:
Abstinence makes the heart go bonkers),
Dragonfly-skimmer,
Dung beetle-drudger,
Lover of life and despiser of love.

About
I've been writing poems since my teens (now in my 60s) and prose since the 1990s. It's been hard finding decent forums online--the free websites too often suffer sudden deaths. My "published" works ar.. more..
