Diplomacy

Diplomacy

A Poem by Wilyem Clark

The triad of Frump and Xi and Putin
Admires itself in the mirror for now,
As behind the placid public curtains
Rancor and wariness sour all three.
"Rocketman" would be an apt addition,
But he so wisely rails from afar,
Knowing he'd lose his slice of dominion
The instant he closets his bucklers and swords.
How successful the lords are in herding their subjects,
These potentates proud of their sins here on Earth,
Surely to lead to grosser transgressions,
Atrocities to harrow the weak and the poor.

About
I've been writing poems since my teens (now in my 60s) and prose since the 1990s. It's been hard finding decent forums online--the free websites too often suffer sudden deaths. My "published" works ar.. more..
