Now Is the Time

Now is the time for all good poets,
Statesmen, and educated every-folk
To come to the aid of humanity
By hotly rejecting the alpha mug,
His ratty minions, and sycophants.
If you despise mayhem and massacres,
Wildfire fury and sudden deaths--
The ignorant slaughtering innocents--
Speak now or forever hold your peace,
For real tranquility may not return
Until we're all boxed and buried.
