Broken Memories

Broken Memories

A Poem by Pax
"

at last a poem which inspired by my bad memories that keeps on appearing recently.

"

Broken parts of my old days

Shattered me, fragments of the past reflects the old me

Memories appeared as sudden as time passed

I wish it will just fade away to nothingness

never showing, never emerging

You’re the memory I wish to forget

to stay blank and clean to start a new one

Yet I see it as clear as the bright blue sky

Pointing itself towards me

showing me, giving me

A chance that I can be better than the past

Revised something ~

Sometimes memories emerge when we think deep or have seen something that will trigger it. Before i said that i will forget all of my past, because its such a pain to remember, so in result i forgot all of my childhood days, also the good ones. But then they will just appear reminding us what we were, so i think i never did forgot all the bad memories, the good once were just lost somewhere in the sands of time. Now i realized that bad memories are very much hard to forget. But if we look at the bright side, it perfectly reminds us that we can become better at it because we have learned the fault and can avoid it or even solve its riddles.

all in all memories shapes us to become the better us of today.
in terms of amnesia there still the heart and body that will reminds us even our mind forgets.

I talk to much, about the poem, but then again i just needed a release...from the bad memories.

Using "just" twice in the fourth line weakens the statement there. Otherwise this was an excellent write.
"Showing me
Giving me
A chance that I can be better than the past" - Great ending. Sometimes we can't forget the past, but we can start learning to let it go.

Hard to forget. Wise to go forward wiser and smarter. Memories are like a two-sided coin. Can make us happy or cry. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

even the 3 second memory span of fish is a myth...events are stored for as long as the cells are living, and who knows, where they go after.
I have learned to accept the good, the bad, and ugly in my past so I can enjoy the now.
