I breathe

I breathe

A Poem by Pax

"

I breathe the life you give me

I stumble on life’s expectations,

                              each disappointment,

and in every loneliness I suffer.

Sometimes I just wish

I should have not accepted the life you given me

Yet, I know it was meant to be

Some things are constant and never changing

It keeps on heading forward

The past remained in it's place

So, I wait

Wait till the end

As long as I hold into

The memory of you

The memories of joys, fights, funny moments and love

will keep me contented in the days of my life.

Sometime the bad memories become less painful with age. I like the strong description leading to a amazing ending. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

"I should have not accepted the life you given me". Great line, it really gives the tone of the piece. You end it nicely with a ray of hope, not bad kid.

I'm so sorry to hear about that. But it's sure though something that you're feelings overloaded the poem properly. I won't demand you anything but to always stay true, kabayan. Idol pa naman kita eh (:

You put into words what I never could for someone I lost on earth and you did it wonderfully. It takes a certain amount of determination to perfect what you are feeling in your mind onto paper and you definitely did that here.

Very well said W. wise visions, in life. Acceptance is master in you, and leading you to what is really important. Listening to yourself.

It is so hard to lose a loved one...you don't know how life can possibly go on, but it does. You did a wonderful job on a sad poem, Willyam.

I like this poem very much. The power and truth in your words is just humongous.
I don't know what else to say - you've perfectly expressed the meaning in your Author's note.
Very good job.

There is such a lingering sadness here.. the looking back in reflections of a life once melded to yours... now gone into the shadowlands... yet you remain... Profoundly powerful...
