passerby
A Poem by Pax
--------------------------------------------
In the real world I am merely a passerby. Finding no home to call my own.
I walk the dusty dirty streets So lost and all alone. Why then should it be this way? Is this the modern way of life? Am I to always suffer loneliness A life beset by doubt.

Adam is right, not necessary to have "just and mere" in the same line...perhaps extreme emphasis exists there....but, this is such a valid idea. We don't really own this life of ours, we just get to borrow it, we don't get to stay, just pass through.
and that can be a lonely feeling---because no one else can really affect the outcome of the visit...only we can make a difference for what time we are here.
nicely expressed piece.
