a star won't glow

I wish for the star to shine,

Yet it won’t glow for me,

Unlucky.

I like this short poetic thought. I guess we all wish upon a star to shine from time to time. And most are disappointed when the glow doesn't reach our expectations. The difference I think, is in what we do next.
This reveals a different side of you that I surely knew was there; but, never considered.
Not the unlucky part. That I knew. That's karma. We all have karma working for or against us. Not much we can do about that.
But the "wishful" side, is a side you closely guard, my dear friend. It is a very real human condition that can be both good and positive in our lives and at the same time be a negative. It is for us to decide how we use them.
So I'm going to be a little wishful here and wish this very human poem is not deleted or even hidden. It is a reminder perhaps, on how we should look upon things we see, not only with our eyes, but with our hearts. Excellent work, Pax.

I understand this problem. Hard to know luck and good day.
You said a lot in the short poetry. Always a pleasure to read your words my friend.

Nor I, my friend. Story of my life...haha. This is short, introspective and to the point...

Looking upon stars and hoping for a glow; but it must also be kept in mind that the glow of a star can be obscured by the glow of something brighter, or closer, or both. Well done.

My dear friend... reading your words.. and then again... and your comments as well. Longing for this horrid sadness to lift... and for a million, million stars to light up the night... just for you...

Beautifully expressed poem, of sad recognition,
The stars may seem to be dim for us at times but
They are still glowing, just as this poem glows.
...I hope you don't decide to
Delete this, this is a gem. Not to mention the fact
That it speaks to a lot of ppl. Thank you for sharing :)

Dearest ading pax, your three lines spoke so loudly of deafening sadness. I think, however, that you slept through your lesson on celestial bodies (just kidding :). The stars keep on shining on us but our vision is only being deceived by distance and/or space... i guess, we must learn to see beyond distance and/or space to be able to have a better perspective. We are stronger than we think. :)

Every star the glows eventually burns out. Its not so much the glow that matters my friend its the journey that gets it glowing. For me everyone who attempts such a journey is a star in the truest form.

thank you very much, my friend :)
I agree with Marie, it says what needed to be said. Short and expressive. Doesn't need to be deleted. :)
