I really like this, the whole poem reminds me of the human race in terms of actually racing, especially the last two lines. Not knowing where you are among the runners; are you first, last, average. But it's lonely in the front, 'a step ahead in my foolish play', 'perhaps you never know my distance'. Really great write, Pax.

No one is really who they appear to be, we hide behind many masks my friend. Sometimes hiding from our own selves. I see your bike here as the freedom to be who you want to be and an escape, we all need that route to take our flight of fancy to another dimension. Intriguing read Pax, muchly enjoyed. :)

i like all of this so much, except the second line which feels too forced to me...for the rhyme's sake.

playing with that line i think could make this a perfect piece...dealing with different perspectives on what is our charade of existence.

Thank you so much my friend, It may seem force to you and to others as well but i did that on purpose or I did that because bike for me is a big metaphor of something, and that something is the big riddle in this piece... and this piece is very raw...
