Conspiracy Theory

why, why, why is big brother this WAY.

Too many strings seem to be detached,

Yet fully attached.

Invisible web, many are in debt.

Lies upon Lies in deceptive movement.

Black turns White while White turn Black - the unforeseen wavelength.

Anyone can be the pawn, who hides in anyone’s lawn.

The Queen seems to be unstoppable.

And the Kings seems to be too vulnerable.

But we could never, never, never see who’s playing the game.

I would like to give my take on this one Pax. Just giving some brush up on the basics. I’m glad you’ve penned this. Full of lessons and interpretations. I’m careful not to turn this into a discourse.

The King is the most valuable piece on the board but also the most vulnerable and handicapped. He’s dependent on his trusted and loyal cabinets for his own safety and protection. In terms of advantage. King is really more of a liability than asset. Part of the strategy revolves around your King's survival and your opponents quick demise. You lose the King you lose the game. The Queen is not the most valuable piece and also not the one in control . Though it’s obvious that she is the most powerful piece on the board. Her mere presence does exerts tremendous influence on the board and all throughout the course of the game. I won’t hide the fact that there’s someone here on this site that has that same influence and charisma which I always respect and admire. Nonetheless, losing a Queen early in the game doesn’t results to immediate lost but a sure sign of a very tumultuous game. Yet anything is still possible. We only lose when we concede and succumb to the irrevocable fate. So fight to the end. Who knows, the tide might turn on our side.

Life is indeed like a game of chess. The role of the Queen on the board is as intriguing as the implication in the game of life. Sometimes though the King is the head and ruler. The Queen sometimes is the one who wears the pants in the house in practical sense as in the case of a domineering wife. Though the man is the head the wife could sometimes be the neck. It can turn the head wherever and whenever she wants to. In real life there could be a reverse role.

Each pieces on the board does represents something, someone or a person in a real life. Depending on the place, position and the role we are designated to play. Often times we find ourselves playing the role of a pawn. Major and minor piece could represent our rank and status in life . Being a pawn sometimes represents the bottom of the food chain. Getting the end of the stick. Insignificant, a nobody. It couldn’t jump like the Knight. Neither to cruise nor the connections of the Rook. Nor has the brain and disposition of the Bishop. Most definitely not the influence and acclaims of a Queen . A pawn is always on the front line, on harms way, the first to fall . They do fire the first shot and draw the first blood and the first casualty on the battlefield. However, The little pawn is the only one that has the opportunity and privilege to be promoted The life of a pawn does represents the life we play and face sometimes. But one day when our life battles and struggles are finally over. When we face the real Game Changer. It does have some happy ending. When a pawn persevered and make it to the end.

It makes me wonder if King Solomon with all his accumulated knowledge and God given wisdom could somehow defeat the strongest super computer and advanced chess program ever known to man? I believe he can. It will be like a child play to him. But in contrast, how did Solomon fared himself in the game of life ? He started well and yet he failed miserably and didn’t finished well. What was his downfall. With his wisdom he couldn’t possibly blunder. Is it possible then that having everything and being everything is not everything ? King Solomon had everything. The pride of life ( success ). His possession ( wealth ). His prestige ( wisest king in the world ) His position ( status ) His prospects ( accomplishments ) and his passions ( meaning of life and of course women ) . It’s unfortunate that the wisest man in the world downfall was a woman. His love for women, foreign women led him astray and away from the first love of his heart. The real Source of everything he had. In the end God did not put His stamp of approval in the life and accomplishments of King Solomon. As a matter of fact he did evil things in the sight of his First Love. ( 1King 11:6 ) Solomon loved women along with their gods and idols.
So an insignificant pawn in the game of life may have something to hope for and look forward to. If there’s a reproach surely there’s a great reward and if the Game Changer will be placing His stamp of approval. The PRIZE and PROMOTION that awaits a pawn on the other side matters as to the way and how the PROCESS was achieved no matter how hard and painstaking it may be.
Sometimes no matter how carefully and meticulously we plan and map our life. It could change on a drop of a hat. Often times we lose first before we win. Just like in the game of chess. But we should never lose heart. For winning is not everything. Its how well we fought our game. How well we played our cards. And how well we finish the game. Don’t matter if we are first or last. The Game Changer, the One that truly pull the string, the One that providentially directs our every moves and steps didn’t promised a smooth ride. Only a safe landing. If we are on His side…

This is excellent. Love the ending. Me being a political animal it brings to mind lobbyist's influence over public policy. Everyone knows about them but few people know how they actually distort bills and mandates for their client's interests. Great piece Mr Pax

Feeling as if destiny itself is being controlled by a hand from another influence, forever unseen.
I can't help but think of the chessboard as the plane of human existence, and the "players" that you portray as deities utilizing our fragility in order to settle a dispute between them, or rather simply for pleasure and a battle of wits. We shall never see them, except in death, when we are removed from the board and forced to face the opposing player of the one playing us. Well done!

"The Queen seems to be unstoppable.
And the Kings seems to be too vulnerable."

----I know these lines present some metaphors of those people involved in the issue you are pointing out. There are both two queens and two kings in a chess game. Here, the woman SEEMS to be overpowering while the men SEEMS to be at risk...(There's only one queen?)
SEEMS...which means it only looks as if...but not sure...so who's really the unbearable.
Besides...in the real chess game, each piece are NOT the players...but they are MOVED or MANAGED by the real PLAYERS. If the queen seems unstoppable...the player holding her is the real unstoppable then. LOL

This is an intriguing poem...so it captured my interest tonight. Thanks for the share. =)

Hahaha din. =)
But what happens when the pawn reaches the end of the board, I wonder? Does it not claim the power of both white and black, both light and dark?
With the pawn transformed, the game becomes a new matter of control.
Constant evolution in our wisdoms produce new subtleties, and with added knowledge comes power. And while the pawn's journey to the end is fraught with peril, the reward would be more than worth it. The question in this poem seems to be one of frustration at those who pull the invisible strings in this world - are conspiracy theories just a game of control? Is there any truth to any of them at all? ... but the suggestion of the pawn is indicative of something more - an idea of tenacity. One step forward each time, irrevocably, unerringly, towards the truth.

Nice work, Pax

But we can never, never, never see who’s playing the game.... so so profound.....in masks they appear so simple...so near....but for those who hear.....treachery.....we weep. Is she really a queen and does this proposal king speak through his own lips? I cannot dance away fast enough for the ball has a murky grey smog that distorts all that weave in and out or the checkered pattern of the floor. Always Dear Pax such interesting insight !

this reminded me of a conversation with my sister, years ago, the first time I ever questioned the status quo...black is white...I liked the hints of a chess game, after all that is all we are in the grand design of things little pawns under Big Brothers tyranny, loosely called democracy here, though really we are lucky in the uk with what we've got. fantastic.

First of all, I love the theme of the poem, the whole uncertain nature of conspiracy theories, like a dark cabal which no one can infiltrate. If only the one in charge was so easy to spot... ;) Second, what you did with Black and White was genius, a superb formatting choice!
