This reminded me of the star that guided the three wise men to Bethlehem. And we take lantern as the symbol of that star that we hang in our window which gives us hope/light.
Funny you may take my thought about it, but just want to say that even the wisest man needs light on his way...

"i keep on following the flow that glows
Life of one sprout grows
I protect thee, to fend off the crows
For i am worthy to stand the highs and the lows"

i find these lines to be the heart of this piece. it spoke to me of the voice finding life's purpose. and that purpose is equally the shining light that strengthens him.

We all seem to march in dark shadows, following the flow...

Take care about what leads you...

we all need someone to be there to help fend off the crows...as we are all just another stalk in the cornfield of life...

i really like this...should be "I for one become an intern" but yes, we are all in training, most of our lives for whatever comes next.

nicely done....a thoughtful piece.

A very well crafted piece of poetry and art form full of inner and outer journey of your life and what it means to you in your melancholy. Excellent...:)

My pleasure...:)
This is my favorite from you so far. Because even though sullenness is not directly expressed, it is evident on the lines, the font style is clean and the writing style is conventional. Good work!
