This reminded me of the star that guided the three wise men to Bethlehem. And we take lantern as the symbol of that star that we hang in our window which gives us hope/light.
Funny you may take my thought about it, but just want to say that even the wisest man needs light on his way...

i find these lines to be the heart of this piece. it spoke to me of the voice finding life's purpose. and that purpose is equally the shining light that strengthens him.

we all need someone to be there to help fend off the crows...as we are all just another stalk in the cornfield of life...

i really like this...should be "I for one become an intern" but yes, we are all in training, most of our lives for whatever comes next.

Aw! Ana man gyud na. Tungod wala man gud me TV when I was a kid mao I didn't have a choice but read. Di gyd unta ko gusto. Para dili sugoon sa mama, magbasa nalang.

Santa, ganun ba yun? O sige sige tapos pagbalik ko deretso pindot sa keyboard na walang hugas hugas kamay, baka man lang makapag sulat na ako ng bagong tula.

Translation: Aw! Ganyan talaga minsan. Kasi wala kaming TV when I was a kid so I didn't have a choice but read. I really didn't like reading pero nagbasa nalng ako para di utosan ng mama ko.

Totoo! Mag alcohol ka naman ng kunti minsan... Maawa ka naman sa keyboard, lol.

Kami noon walang TV rin o radyo kaya. Kaya mag basa na lang ng Komiks, kaya nag kahilig ako magbasa at magsulat. Ay, mayroon palang TB ang kapit bahay namin, pero ayaw kung maki panood doon. Sabi kasi noon ng Tatay ko hindi pwede bawal daw kasing manood doon sa kapit bahay namin, baka raw matotong mag basa yong lungs ko.

Haha! Isang litra lang ang deperensya, mag-iiba na ang takbo ng buhay. Ang swerte nga naman pag dumapo. Buti nalang di matigas ulo mo noon, Sir.

Di - matigas din ang ulo ko, mayroon kabang nakita na malambot ang ulo. ( biro lang MM) Paminsan minsan nakikinig din sa magualng.

Parang salita sa tula, isang letra lang ang mag iba, iba na ang kahulugan ng buhay. Hehe.
Kung naging matigas ang ulo nya M&M, di sya sa US ngayon. Di sya makakalusot sa immigration. Buti na lang talaga! LOL.

Ha,ha,ha - yon na nga nakalusot sa katigasan ng ulo. Okay lang pag naka uwi ako dyan, let's have a party then.

Sabi mo yan Sir ha. Sinabi ko nga yan kay Pax eh ayaw namang uuwi. Mag ha-hadji na ata.

Yon maiintindihan nila yong Taglish ko, sabi nila party pala ang painaguusapan.

Natakot nanaman si Pax. Di bale ayan sinabi na ni Sir Ency. dapat lagyan na yan ng date agad at lugar kung saan at yung mga wala pang pamasahe kung sakaling malayo man eh mapakapg ipon ipon na.
