The poem has a formal quality that we attribute to stained glass as it is used in church architecture. Even the way the poem is laid out suggest a figure, cruciform perhaps, that is, stoically, enduring great pain in, presumably, the wake of a relationship. There is a great economy of language and I particularly like the way the word 'breathless' hangs at the end of the poem in ambiguous relationship to the rest of the piece.
Pax, this is beautiful and insightful. I think people who we love and have loved, leave a stain on our heart that never goes away. It is a mark of life and our soul, a love wound as it were, yet not a scar...but love and openness leaves a stain behind to remind us they were there. Beautiful and artful and soulful. Thank you for sharing!

so true, you are very insightful, thank you so much my friend...
Firstly Pax….the painting is incredible, wow! There are many sides to your creativity that I haven’t seen yet! I am glad for the pleasant surprise!
Memories general have a positive connotation, until there is a loss…then they are painful reminders until the heart can heal and finally again become reminders of joy and love! Beautiful write my friend!!

wow, thank you very much my friend... I am grateful....
Dear one, wow.... this painting of yours, is a fire flower full of hurt, pain, emotion, bliss, and passion.
I read your words along with it, and it is just the perfect combi. When we miss a lost love, a lost muse, a lost one in general, we can make the best art out of us. This (old) but very good and profound poem of yours, gives me the chills, just because it's so damn perfect, in all it needs. You tell with so little so much of what really is needed, or better said, what is missing.... brother, you never fail me. Just an amazing timide, and powerful write.
Ah, the agony that desire often brings. Or is it love? In many cases they are one and the same.
You describe it well, my friend.
And it is a most beautiful painting. I wish I had the talent, the skill to pursue an art beyond the mere scribbling of words. Alas, words are my only gift, a sometimes curse, the end of me in verse.
