Desperate Taking

Desperate Taking

A Chapter by Pax
"

~ an opening poem for the next chapter...

"

Encompassing

I ‘am falling into the arms of being alive

Can be lust, be love

 ?

Is desire heading to the road of love

?

Seems like I forgot

-

“How to love”

Mixing fire and desire

Is not a friendly match

Sacred Vows or Broken Homes

is not my thing

Seeing the lady of my thoughts

Give me a hammer to break rules

Ruining symbols of love

My affectionate emotion

Broke down into tiny piece

As I beg for your body

Then it all comes into a

desperate taking

pushing every boundary

every limit

and pulling-out every defense

until you submit to my savage need

and you follow your own indulging passion

to me

I think love and lust coexist in a way. I've said this to a friend on here and I'm saying it again. For me, love is a mental state growing within our minds which resides in our body, looking after physiological functions of our body including all our instinctive and intuitive desires. Sex too is a natural and instinctive desire of our body. Any function in which the mind is involved, body can't remain indifferent to it. Thus for me, love and lust are mutually co-generative and co-existing. But then I could be wrong. This is a very intelligent write, kabayan. And yeah, the photo is awesome:)

A great compassionate introspection, the emotion was embossed with such passion. However I agree with dhaye with regards to the presentation of the grammar, she pointed out those to you, just a suggestion to no offense.

Wow! A poem based on your book. this is nice.
However, only few, little problems I noticed in some lines:

Sacred Vows & Broken Homes
is not my thing- ---- ARE not my things
Broke down into tiny piece---- PIECES
pushing every boundaries----BOUNDARY
every limits---LIMIT
and pulling-out every defenses----DEFENSE (every is for a singular subject).

I hope this could help. :)

Desire has many friends and co-conspirators. Passion, need, want, and lust, all can walk hand-in-hand with desire. Love may not have anything to do with it at all.
A carefully thought out poem, good friend. Lots of room for the reader to venture into and think about here.
