I'm planning to take a part 2 on this or i should not, now i wonder...

I never knew that feeling

A word without meaning

…A stranger to what I felt…

Thought it’s strange that I knew it so well

 

 

~Life~

 

I walk by with you as I talk about you

…Existence is a mere essence…

It’s the life underneath my roots

My whole being is defined of what I decide about you

 

 

~choices~

 

I kept on thinking of you

A mystery in every event I stumble upon

Nonetheless your part of me that i fully submit

Facing and standing still

In all the consequences and risk

I have brought upon

in the end

Despite all those obstacles

I know deep within me

There will come a time

I’ll be able to dance

…In rhythm of contentment…

 

 

~dream~

 

You’re in my fantasy

…You’re in my Jar of unfulfilled wishes…

I walk in your clouds of heavenly sky

Reality slaps me too many times

Yet no matter how painful reality is

I still go to your realm

And dream an endless dream

Of my unfulfilled wonderings

Wishing & hoping

 

 

~Alive~

 

Living is as much as fading

Purpose of what I suppose

Is just another make-up prose

Of my days

Principles are timeless

…Endless…

Old yet golden

Though some are forgotten

throughout the pages of history

faded

But then they're relived now

Through experiences

As life goes on and on

As you live by

In its circling Journey

 

 

~Freedom~

 

I can’t be with you

as I am chained

Much controlled

Much reserved

Much more refined

…As if I’m bound to be blocked…

Locked within a nut shell

I guess being free isn’t allowed

Without hard labor

Seems to me that you found someone with whom you felt almost at home, let's say, then as things progressed, you began to wonder about the different aspects of your so far independent lifestyle... hence your thoughts come under the sub.titles. The thoughts you placed under each are rather like the negatives and positives one can use to help make an important decision. But the all telling areas are the 'Alive and Freedom .. they wrap up what's come before, gradually release you in that place you were before. Maybe you 'escape' knowing far more about yourself and armed for the next time! Considerable thought processes above.

i truly appreciate your insight on how to read my words. Independent Lifestyle made me more mature in understanding life.... i so love the lines on alive and freedom for they say so much of what's life's outcome(i think). I just wish I'm much armed for what life throw's at us, otherwise I'm always prepared now. Writing really helps me understand the ways of life and the reviews made me understand it more better than myself. Thank you so much.

lol... yes... its me... and wow thanks... I'm quite shy in person and in here too so that is why i only show my eyes here... someday i found a courage to fully face reality..then i will post my pic.. though i have my full face(just covered) in my photos section... the eyes are the only thing i am confident about myself... thank you for reading this kabayan, i really appreciate that..

Most literary pieces would dwell only on single concept as a main theme. In here, you were able to encapsulate the concepts of love, life, choices, dreams, living and freedom in one amazing piece.

On a personal note, of all these thoughts/concepts mentioned, i find freedom to be the most interesting as, i, myself is constantly longing for freedom from consequences. But as mentioned in your piece, freedom is something to be worked on. Which makes me think, will there be a time that my aspirations for freedom be fulfilled? Thank you for sharing this. It was really good to have something to reflect on.

i thank you for seeing the concept of the insights i shared in wc. Yes, freedom.. I always talk about balance about life and i find freedom is the most hardest to balance among all of the above. Aren't we constantly reaching for freedoms wings everyday, starting from oneself. Like you said we are prisoners of our own consequences and for me expectations we created which is part of our choices... i could only say we must find our balance and learned from the consequences we had experienced. keep learning kabayan.

A philosopher in the making? That is my narrow way of putting it, kabayan:) Your poem is like a fruit salad tree, a collection of philosophies of your own. Maybe because there is not a single subject to which man can more fitly give his attention to.

Your poem deals with the greatest problems that confront human soul, value, God, immortality and the meaning of life. Simple observations dissolved in thought. Excellent!

Haha! fruit salad naman na pagkain nasa isip mo eh. Wala ganyan sa Saudi, it's only in the Philippines. Joke! May fruit salad tree naman talaga, google mo nga.
