I think it goes this way for a lot of us, Pax...I used to deal with mine by trying to be a perfectionist, and do you know where that left me more often than not? Sitting in a pool of emotional wreckage. These days I try to face the insecurities head on and limit judging myself (because I just know someone's already doing that for me *laugh*) and try to focus on the things I'm good at and, after telling myself a thousand times I'm actually good at something, I even start to believe it. We're all a hot mess when it comes to this. Just take a breath, shake it off, and persevere, baby.

We really are too conscious with ourselves. What we look like, wear and act that it ruins everything. Maybe it's because we humans really know how judgmental another is by seeing how we are.

The key for me was to love my insecurities. When you learn to love the things you once hated it gets easy. I used to look in the mirror every morning and I would tell myself (out loud) that I was beautiful and worthy of love. My love and the love of others. I got to the point where I didn’t need to tell myself anymore because it became my truth. You have to change the way you see yourself and that takes time but it’s so WORTH it!

Hmm, how our own issues with our own image can keep us from others. Reminds me of people who refuse to 'interact' with minorities because they believe they will be judged.

yup, your right in some ways, i refuse to interact at times and a times i just keep my distance because im hurt with all the negativity they say(maybe just a defence mechanism, i think). and Maybe the minorities becomes big inside my head. Thank you for the thoughtful review.
