its hard when your blind on the things that you already love without noticing it.

I’m such a fool not to see you,

not knowing you’re very near.

Then I realized you’re already gone.

I'm afraid I don't really understand this piece, Will.
It would be clearer, and make a much more effective poem, if you were to simply remove the middle line.
That's the way I see it, anyway.
