Not Pretty EnoughA Poem by songstressA short poem of an individual falling into madness, as they obsesses and destroy a girl who they believe to mirror their own inadequacies.
You're no doll,
nor a belladonna But, fear not sweet cherub... you're mine... body sculpted in fine porcelain, and hair of black night, You'd be Snow white, if not for your wretched voice, and clumsiness. So, please allow me to bind you... love you, and rework you... In doing so, I shall start with, those fine red lips-which fail to sing sweetly. Sewing them shut, and... repainting them a softer a shade of pink... Just STOP-Stop... those pitiful cries, and allow me your humanity... Your cries beneath my calloused hands shall cease, and your body-ethereal white-will for a moment writhe, and wither, and degrade. But, like the princess herself, I'll entomb you within a glass casket. So, lay upon a bed of rose, as I run with deft fingers, thread between your ivory joints... locking you in place, your safety shall remain with me... My dearest Snow...Snow white, no one has ever wanted you- Thus let it be said that I answer your tears with my own
and my embraces.... © 2017 songstressReviews
