A DARK HARD SEASONA Poem by Lynne Murphy MillerMy friend just told me he is sad but doesn't know why.
This is a dark, hard season,
When jingle bells abound. And Christmas lights astound, And I go walking in the night. This is a dark, hard season, When turkey's on the roast, And cards are in the post, And I stand shivering in the light. This is a dark, hard season, When ancient tales are told, And some have hands to hold, And I am weeping, out of sight. This is a dark, hard season.
