Autumnal Equinox

Autumnal Equinox

A Poem by Lynne Murphy Miller
"

Just a little thing, several years old, inspired by the season.

"
Sweet Summer, when her Fall is nigh,
Hikes up her skirts to keep them dry,

And, glancing to the dark'ning sky,
Her golden eyes askance and shy,

She skips and shakes her shoulders high,
And turns one farewell dance, goodbye.
