Ample Foliage

Ample Foliage

Ample Foliage

So many leaves

Anthropomorphic shapely

A jumble of jungle green reveries

All the intimacy

All the ambling postures

All the interplay

Interpreting each vein of every leaf

Posits linkage to timely placement

The bramble grows in fragrant gratuity

As clock momentum gains

Would I place each leaf

In some faded folio?

... some dog eared volume

To resurrect fading spirits?

No

Watch the greenery grow

Watch vines intertwine

No tampering with fragile roots

Let each plant go

Let growth progress unfettered

By pruning intent

Walk within the verdant veldt

Veiled in shades

Of lime and verdigris

Breathe the fecundity

of unchecked blooming

Fresh sprouts take

Hold
