my rode to nowhare

my rode to nowhare

A Poem by quill of shadows

"

I travel this road

an eternity it seems

With but the windblown sand to remind me of my solitude

and the pain of my tattered legs to remind me I’m still alive

This road o this forsaken road. Are you what will finally be the end of me

Will my body fall as yet another victim of this desert sand

For my corpse to rot under miles of windblown sand

Or to be torn and shredded by the lurking vultures

Who’ve circled above for days

This lonely road

My path to such a desolate fate

Ware only darkness and destruction cross my path

And such heavy chains that bind me and drag but the ones closest to me to share this broken fate

My hands stained crimson with the blood of the innocent

My close picked to shreds but the sly claws of the desert

The crusted dirt on my skin to shield me from the cold desert nights

With nothing but the long dried blood on my lips to quench my thirst

Yet still I walk this road

I really like the imagery that's been expressed in this poem...the chains binding you, the blood on your hands...awesome. Pure talent you have
