Introduction

Note on the world of the PI. When I wrote this story I was curious at the relationships that would build out of an earth that was invaded by aliens. I write this with the full knowledge that it would create more socio-economic problems in the future and compound those already existing. In other sci-fi worlds where there are alien life forms we always assume that humanity will unite and political differences and racism against each other would just disappear. This is why I wrote this story, to explore this complex society that would be created. This is why it takes place after 170 years past the invasion. the character of Chase Williams, who is the titular P.I. serves as a dialogue to compare the past since he due to an incident in the past found himself from witnessing the invasion when he was a young boy to fighting in the new world created a hundred years later.
