short but sour

short but sour

A Poem by William J Rimbaud

To be happy
Long been A dream
Never a reality

Never been loved
Except in my head
Even then it ended bad

Wanting to get lost
Just to see if anyone
will come find me

Short and definitely sour. Well done on the depressive note. I'm sure many of us can relate to the fact that even what we imagine in our heads doesn't turn out well. Good flow and very concise, nicely done.

Maybe not so sour as it is bittersweet.

I enjoyed this because I related to it too. And I also hate it for the same reason.

Great write.

wow, this is so true, so honest. a great piece, and because of the short lines it reminds me a little bit of Emily Dickinson. the last stanza hit me especially hard, as well as

Never been loved
Except in my head

soooo relatable. thanks for a great read. the length is perfect, and the title is catchy.
