Hunger

Hunger

A Poem by Elton Williams III
"

We sometimes put love on such a high pedestal that we are often let down and end up falling hard.

"

Isn’t it funny how-

The craving

The thirst

For love will allow the greatest susceptibility

All vulnerable for affection

After the love thirst is quenched

Full off those sweet vibes

To be released and empty out

No more kiss goodnight

No more long walks

Just shortness

Awkward times fill up the space where-

Good times occupied

Dipped out to allow your craving to be fulfilled

My destiny was in you

But that wasn’t enough

Very well done! I enjoyed this piece very much, and it speaks of much truth. I think the honest feel of it is what I liked the most!
