On the Existence of Ideals

There is a reason that ideals exist

Ideals like stars exist so that we always have something to reach out for,

Something to chase

Sure we could simply look longingly in the sky and complain that this is unattainable

That the world is unfair…

But the fact of the matter stands, perfection does not exist in this mortal realm

Ideals exist as a supplement for perfection

It is the driving force that makes humans so beautiful

We work adamantly on an asymptote towards perfection

Knowing full well we can never reach such

But it is that, that beautiful upward movement

That EFFORT that makes humans so amazing

It makes every inch,

Every stride,

All the more meaningful when looking at our temporal existence

Strive for perfection

Chase after it every day

But do not be obsessed with it

After all,

If you simply look to your left and right, you will see that no one has reached that point.

So please,

I know it hurts.

Your feet are scarred, bloody, and cut

But these scars hold the proof of your battles

It shows how far you gone

So don’t stop moving

You may rest

But do not stop

For if you do,

How are you different from the dead?

I would say it is more like a Soliloquy, it is almost like talking to yourself and anyone close enough to hear. Shakespeare coined the term and use soliloquy's in many of his play's, it lets you give information without any set up. Bravo! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!
