Chapter 45: Aiden Unit

Chapter 45: Aiden Unit

A Chapter by Shin

Back at Gen-Exis headquarters, Seshiro is back at the barracks lying on his bed, still thinking about Kirisu being a colonel, and most of all, Hisana being in the Aiden Unit.

“I still can’t believe it; she hid it from me, why didn’t she tell me?”

Seshiro falls asleep lost in thought, the next day Seshiro and Hisana meet at the library at lunchtime. Seshiro looks at her warily, but still hesitates to ask her.

“It looks like they found the culprit of the computer hacking.” Hisana comments.

“What? But how did they-” Seshiro is cut off by Hisana. “He was recorded by the cameras, Private Lewis Cuba.”

“Oh, he fitted the description?” Seshiro asks.

            “Yeah…” Hisana nods.

“So they locked him up?” Seshiro asks curiously.

“He was tortured and then executed for high treason.” Hisana replies.

“Damn… I didn’t really want something like that to happen even though he was a complete d********g.” Seshiro says lowering his head and closing his eyes for a moment.

“Yeah, did you find what you were looking for?” Hisana asks.

“Uh huh… And much more.” Seshiro says opening his eyes and staring at Hisana sharply.

Hisana stares at him suspiciously and asks. “Much more?”

“Kirisu used to be a General and was demoted to Colonel; he’s a Gen-Exis high ranking officer…” Seshiro answers.

“What? No wonder he looked so suspicious… and that’s why Gen-Exis supposedly kidnapped him… Unbelievable…” Hisana with surprise.

            “I found Keisuro’s file…” Seshiro states.

                        Hisana widened her eyes.

“I didn’t think you would actually find it…” Hisana says staring at Seshiro waiting for anything extra he wanted to add.

“……” Seshiro looks away and looks back her.

“You already know huh…” Hisana looking down at the table.

            “Yeah…” Seshiro nods.

“I’m sorry for hiding it…” Hisana looks back at Seshiro.

“I came to the conclusion that you’re not the enemy because you appear as an ex member and a deceased one at that… care to explain?” Seshiro asks.

“Hmm… I guess I have no choice… It’s been more than a year that it happened.” Hisana states.

            “What happened?” Seshiro asks.

“The day of my death in the Aiden Unit… It was nightfall…” Hisana begins to narrate her story.

A van was heading towards a city, Britannica, one of the most advanced human cities in the world, it was a rather bumpy road, in the van was Hisana dressed rather differently with an ostentatious cloak, there were nine more people on the van dressed as Hisana, it was none other than the Aiden unit. There was a deep silence in the van on their way, no one was actually looking at each other, and everyone was minding their own business. One of the members, Yazon, the weapon specialist asked. “Umm… Can someone tell me what the plan was again? I wasn’t paying too much attention at the briefing.”

Harayoshi, leader of the Aiden stared at Yazon and spoke. “The plan is the same as in the briefing, we infiltrate the high-tech headquarters of the enemy, we eliminate any threats until we reach the leaders and eliminate them as well, and then we leave.”

“Oh, ok… Anyone got a smoke?” Yazon asked.

The van reached the city, afterwards it parked somewhere near the building to not be spotted, they got out of the van.

“The first floors have high security, so I need one of you to take them out quickly, the best suited for the job is Hisana and Ushima, so go, once you’ve finished call me back.” Harayoshi ordered.

“Right.” Hisana and Ushima nodded, they left the group and headed inside a building in front of the enemy headquarter building; they got up the roof and jumped on the edge of the building to get a better view. Hisana said as she observed every corner of the main floors entrance. “This building is pretty close to that one, if we were to go in through the front door, they would fire at will.”

“Not if we kill them first.” Ushima stated.

Hisana just looked down on the building; she then reached her hand inside her vest and took out a syringe with a small dose of some silver colored fluid.

“You’re using it already?” Ushima asked as she looked at Hisana.

“We’re humans Ushima, we can’t leap from this distance right into the building just like that.” Hisana replied.

“You’re right; I’ll use it as well.” Ushima said also taking out the same syringe, they then injected themselves directly in their hearts letting out a deep gasp. “Uggghhh…”

They let out an enormous amount of Spirit Force and leaped at great height and speed breaking the main glass door and landing in between many soldiers effectively catching them off guard. Both quickly took off their cloaks and unsheathes their weapons, Hisana her Altergun and Ushima her Lemurian sword. They quickly killed all the soldiers almost at the same time with fancy maneuvers and flips, with great speed and agility and evading every single bullet in the instant all the soldiers fired. Every single soldier was dead on the ground, there were more than fifty dead soldiers and a lot of blood all over the place, Hisana used a Bluetooth to communicate with Harayoshi. “Finished.”

“Good, faster than lightning as always you two.” Harayoshi commented. “Stay put.”

“Yes sir.” Hisana and Ushima said as they picked up their cloaks.

“Let’s get going.” Harayoshi said as he moved out, the unit walked behind him.

Saigo, the one with most battle experience in the unit and also the most scarred mentally in war thought to himself. “Hisana doesn’t deserve any praise, she reminds me of a traitor back in war… she can’t be trusted, sooner or later she’ll betray us.”

Some conversations between some of the members surged.

“I’m telling you guys, she’s a traitor, I know one when I see one, just because she’s the best Altergun specialist in the all Gen-Exis doesn’t mean she deserves special treatment.” Saigo remarked.

“Heh, seems someone around here is jealous.” Yazon said smoking his cigarette.

            “Shut up.” Saigo said annoyed.

Hiruka, the rare crystal user of the Unit. She looked at Saigo as she walked and said. “I don’t like her either.”

“Huh? You too? And you’re the passive one to boot.” Yazon said surprised.

“I just plain don’t like her; she’s so stuck up only talking to Harayoshi.” Hiruka said.

“Hehehe, maybe she has the hots for him, right bro?” Yazon said letting out smoke from his mouth and looking up to the tall muscular man next to him.

“Maybe.” Sezuki, the powerhouse and heavy weapon specialist of the unit, replied as he shrugged his shoulders. They went in, Hisana and Ushima were waiting sitting on the front desk.

“Bridget, hack into the security systems and deactivate them.” Harayoshi ordered.

Bridget, the Elven member of the team and also the hacker. She looked around the room and said. “I’m on it.”

Bridget took out some advanced equipment from a big bag she was carrying along with some USB cables and started tinkering with the main terminal after connecting the cables.

“Disable the cameras while you’re at it.” Harayoshi added.

“…… done, but there’s a slight problem.” Bridget said looking up to Harayoshi.

            “What?” Harayoshi asked.

“I’ve deactivated every single security system, except for the ninety ninth floor, it seems those security systems can only be deactivated in the one hundredth floor.

“Maybe it’s just some stupid traps anyways.” Yazon commented.

“Actually no, those are the highest level systems of security, so yeah, basically the most dangerous.” Bridget said.

            “F**k.” Yazon said upset.

“We’ll be heading up to the ninety ninth floor now. Ushima, you and Yazon are going to take the stairs all the way up and take out any sentry in sight.” Harayoshi said.

Ushima, the ninja, specializing in sabotage, infiltration and assassinations.

            “Right.” Ushima said.

“Ahhh d****t! F*****g stairs, I hate them!” Yazon ranted.

“The other staircase will be scouted up to the ninety ninth floor by Hiruka and Keisuro.” Harayoshi said.

                        Keisuro, the Ice elemental user.

            “Okay…” Hiruka said.

            “Whatever.” Keisuro said.

“There’s three elevators we have to cover as well, Saigo and Reika will cover the left elevator.” Harayoshi said.

Reika, the Satsume of the team, an ex-dragon knight.

“Sezuki and Hisana will cover the right elevator, Bridget and I will cover the middle elevator.” Harayoshi said.

“I’m surprised he didn’t take Hisana with him.” Saigo muttered loudly.

Shh, he might hear you!” Yazon whispered.

“We’ll meet in the lobby of the ninety ninth floor, no one proceeds until I say so, move out.” Harayoshi said.

Everyone divided just as Harayoshi ordered; meanwhile a man that was located in the one hundredth floor with short brown hair and a well-kept beard dressed with a business suit was watching a set of TVs with no video.

“Damn, they deactivated the cameras, it doesn’t matter, I’ll see them get tortured to death in the ninety ninth, hahaha, I can’t wait, but in the meantime I’ll send them some warm up.” The business man said as he grabbed a radio. “Send all units to reprehend the intruders.”

“Roger, over and out.” A guard said.

            “Hahaha.” The business man laughed.

Yazon and Ushima were walking up the stairs as ordered.

“Damn it, I wanted to be in the elevator, don’t you?” Yazon asked.

            “Orders are orders.” Ushima answered.

“Then I got stuck with you, this sucks, it’s like I’m talking alone.” Yazon remarked.

“You talk too much.” Ushima stated.

“And you talk so little.” Yazon stated countering her comment.

            “……” Ushima shook her head.

“You see what I’m saying?” Yazon said.

“Yeah, you proved my point, you over talk.” Ushima countered his remark.

“Damn, this is soooo boring, how about a joke?” Yazon asked.

“Oh please.” Ushima rolled her eyes.

“Here goes, do you know the ‘no and me neither’ joke?” Yazon asked.

            “No.” Ushima replied uninterested.

“Me neither, hahaha, get it?” Yazon asked with a chuckle.

            “No.” Ushima answered uninterested again.

“Me neither.” Yazon said laughing out loud.

“Hahaha.” Ushima barely giggled for his stupid joke.

“You see! You laughed! Hahaha, how hard was that?” Yazon asked.

“Don’t let it get to your head.” Ushima said as she suddenly stopped walking.

            “What’s wrong?” Yazon asked.

            “They’re close.” Ushima said.

“Damn it! After I was having a little fun with my jokes.” Yazon finished his smoke.

“This is serious, pay attention.” Ushima said.

Ushima does some hand seals and a few clones of herself appear.

“Whoa! Give me one of those!” Yazon said amazed.

            “Shut up.” Ushima said.

The many Ushima clones quickly ran up the staircase jumping all over, the soldiers spotted them and started shooting everywhere, the Ushima clones unsheathed their swords and started with a killing spree, after they finished they turned completely black and faded away.

“Nice tricks.” Yazon said still amazed. “I mean, I’ve seen you fight for a few years, but never saw that one.”

“Looks like I’m doing all the dirty work.” Ushima said.

“Next time it’s my turn okay, geez.” Yazon said.

“Not if you’re too slow.” Ushima said.

            “Heh.” Yazon grinned.

Meanwhile Hiruka and Keisuro were walking up the other staircase, but none were saying anything at all, then Keisuro suddenly said. “I don’t mean to complain, but I wouldn’t have minded taking the elevator.”

“I understand what you mean.” Hiruka nodded slightly.

“I wish there was a faster way of getting there.” Keisuro remarked.

            “There isn’t any.” Hiruka said.

“I guess the only thing we can do is have fun killing these weaklings while we head up.” Keisuro stated.

            “I guess so.” Hiruka said.

The soldiers rushed down the stairs and threw a few hand grenades; Hiruka crystallized all the grenades therefore neutralizing them, Keisuro placed his hand on the wall for a second, suddenly many ice spikes came out of the walls where the soldiers were and were killed instantly.

            “Haha.” Keisuro smirked.

“Not bad, let’s hurry up.” Hiruka said.

All the members in the elevator reached the ninety ninth floor, after a while the members climbing the stairs arrived.

“This is it, keep your eyes peeled.” Harayoshi said.

Directly in front of the party was a hallway, the only way through to get to the one hundredth floor.

“We don’t know if the hallway has traps.” Bridget said.

            “Any volunteer?” Harayoshi asked.

Sezuki spoke up. “I will go.”

“Good, I’ll help you since no one else is willing to go.” Harayoshi said.

            “Good luck guys.” Yazon said.

Sezuki and Harayoshi walked into the hallway, nothing seemed to happen, when they were halfway both ends were shut tight by reinforced steel bars, the walls began to press together. Yazon took out a magnum and pointed at the small panel next to the steel bars, shooting it, but it didn’t even dent it due to having a bulletproof glass. “F**k!”

“Someone do something!” Reika shouted pissed off.

“Everyone calm down, Sezuki, hold the walls open, I’ll deactivate the trap.” Harayoshi said.

As the walls closed in even more, Sezuki being very big and muscular held the walls a little while Harayoshi patiently walked to the end of the hallway where the reinforced steel bars were, he unsheathed one of his swords and threw a wind blade which sliced the bar in half, then throwing a few more wind blades quickly slicing it even more, allowing him to pass and break the control panel.

“You can let go now.” Harayoshi said.

Sezuki let go just as Harayoshi said, the other reinforced bars raised up automatically letting the party pass through.

“In this next room, volunteers.” Harayoshi said.

“If you notice, there are many turrets in the room; about fifty of them, the infrared laser will activate them.” Bridget explained.

“I’ll take care of them.” Ushima said as she unsheathed her sword, she quickly jumped in and before the sensors could detect her she began cutting all the turrets in a matter of seconds, many turrets began to fire, but she was too fast and finished them off, then landed in front of the party.

“Finished.” Ushima said as she sheathed her sword.

            “I can tell.” Harayoshi said.

The party passed by the room and to the next.

“I don’t see anything strange here.” Yazon stated.

“This room’s floor, walls and ceiling is covered with mines, I just checked the database.” Bridget said.

“I’ll take care of this room.” Saigo said.

            “Suit yourself.” Harayoshi said.

Saigo stepped a few feet away from the threshold of large room.

“You sure you can manage?” Yazon asked.

“It’s hammer time.” Saigo said with a slight smirk.

            “Cheesy.” Yazon sighed.

Saigo grabbed a big custom made sledgehammer that was strapped by many belts behind his back, he then leaned his arm back holding the sledgehammer, suddenly a great amount of Spirit Force came out from him. After a few seconds he quickly raised it in the air and slammed it on the floor creating a powerful shockwave that made every single mine in the room blow instantly, the explosion was so huge it could be seen from outside the building.

“Good, let’s get moving.” Harayoshi said walking ahead, passing by the charred room full of holes.

“I hope there aren’t any more traps.” Yazon said.

“The next room also has a trap, the electrified floor; we can’t pass unless we deactivate it.” Bridget said.

“I think I’m going to need another smoke.” Yazon commented.

The party walked towards the next room, seeing with their own eyes the electrified floor; it was more of a hallway than a room.

“How will we get through this one?” Harayoshi asked.

“Let me think for a moment.” Bridget said.

As Bridget thought the man in the business suit observed from the cameras.

“Damn it! They’ve fooled the first traps… haha, I know, they won’t pass the next ones so easily.” The business man said.

A few other people dressed in business suits appeared.

“Stark, those intruders won’t get past your traps right?” A business woman with curly red hair asked.

“Of course not, if the next traps by any chance don’t kill them, surely, the last will, so calm down Julia.” Stark said reassuringly.

            “Humph…” Julia crossed her arms.

“As for the rest of you, sit down and enjoy the show.” Stark said.

“Some governor you are.” Julia remarked.

            “Heh.” Stark grinned.

As these people observed through the cameras, Bridget came up with an idea.

“I know! I’ll hack this terminal to deactivate the electrified floor.” Bridget said.

“There’s no terminal to hack.” Reika said as she looked around quickly.

“I’ll hack it wirelessly; a thing I noticed about this place is that it has a wireless signal, a strong one at that although it’s password protected.” Bridget said.

Bridget took out a laptop from her bag, she turned it on and began typing some things into the DOS entering the database of the building, first hacking the wireless signal, then deactivating the electrified floor.

            “Proceed.” Harayoshi said.

They all just simply walk by with no harm done; once they reached the other room they noticed many holes on the floor, walls and ceiling.

            “What’s this room?” Yazon asked.

“From what I checked in the computer, this one is a flame room.” Bridget answered.

“Flame room?” Ushima asked for more detail.

“The room censors a person’s presence; the holes release flames, like a flamethrower.” Bridget explained.

“I’ll take care of it.” Hiruka said as she walked ahead, but Keisuro stopped her by placing his hand in front of her and said. “I’ll freeze the fire while you take care of the holes.”

Keisuro stepped in first, the flames of the either holes of both sides quickly engulfed him, but the fire literally froze, Hiruka quickly sealed the holes with her crystal powers. Keisuro kept walking forward and freezing all in his path as Hiruka walked behind him and sealed all those pores with her crystal powers.

“The room is cleared.” Keisuro said.

The party walked through the room and entered the next one.

“This room is filled with trap doors in the floor.” Bridget said.

“Easy.” Saigo said as he grabbed the sledgehammer firmly with both hands and slammed the ground releasing Spirit Force creating a shockwave that activated all the trap doors on the ground, clearing a steady path for everyone.

“This was like the fastest one we’ve resolved.” Yazon commented.

As they walked through the room many holes open on the walls and ceiling, in a matter of seconds many knives came out flying at everyone, Yazon quickly took out two machine guns and fired at the swarm of knives, but it wasn’t enough. Ushima quickly unsheathed her sword and in a matter of seconds began jumping around everyone and all around the room stopping the mass of knives coming at them. After no more than ten seconds the holes stopped unleashing knives.

“Must’ve been a hidden mechanism that was not recorded in the database.” Bridget said as she checked her computer.

“And the next room?” Harayoshi asked.

“I’m not really sure; nothing appears in the database… I bet any money it also has traps, but I don’t know what.” Bridget responded.

“……” Harayoshi began to think. “Just proceed.”

They walked towards the next room, as they made their way in group, the doors sealed themselves with a solid concrete wall and poisonous gas emerged from some pores in the room.

“Any ideas?” Hiruka asked trying to figure a solution.

“Don’t we have gas masks or anything?” Yazon asked.

            “We do not.” Ushima answered.

“We don’t have time to talk!” Keisuro said.

“Hopeless, cover your mouths.” Harayoshi said as he walked towards the concrete wall covering the door and slashed it various times with his sword thus creating an aperture big enough for everyone to pass by, including Sezuki, everyone hurried through the opening. Keisuro and Hiruka sealed the opening with their powers creating a wall of ice and crystal. In this next room, without warning the room was getting very hot in seconds.

            “Oh no!” Bridget said desperately.

            “What?” Yazon asked startled.

            “A heat room.” Ushima said.

“Time to cool it down.” Keisuro said as he injected himself with the syringe; he let out a slight pant, then exploding in Spirit Force, letting out a powerful amount of spirit energy converted in ice elemental powers. The room began freezing quickly, ice was forming, but it was melting away quickly as well. Keisuro let out a huge amount of Spirit Force reinforcing his ice affinity and froze the whole room in seconds, with many materialized ice stalagmites all over the room.

“Keisuro, when we get out, me and you are going to drink some ice cold beer, don’t worry, it’s on me man.” Yazon said with relief.

The party walked to the other room; there the room was already covered in ice completely.

“This ice, it’s not my doing.” Keisuro said.

“You see strange cracks in the walls don’t you? They are all deliberately in the same exact spot on both walls; do you think something caused this from those cracks?” Bridget asked.

“I bet we’re dealing with ice throwers, ice breath sort to say.” Reika said.

“The Satsume finally decides to talk.” Yazon stated with a chuckle.

“Shut up human, wait here, all of you.” Reika walked towards the center, when suddenly strong pressures of ice coming from the cracks of both walls came directly at Reika. Reika quickly bursts in mighty hellfire, melting the whole room’s ice, making the ice throwers visible, Sezuki quickly grabbed the mini gun from his back and fired at the ice throwers rapidly destroying them.

“How many rooms are left exactly?” Harayoshi asked.

“Yeah, I’m tired of walking into so many rooms with traps.” Yazon said with a sigh.

“Hmm, not even I’m sure.” Bridget replied.

“Just great, not even our Elf genius hacker knows.” Yazon said hysterically.

They all walked to the next room, they all look around, but see nothing unusual at all, as they keep walking they all feel a little water under their feet.

“Hmm? Water?” Sezuki said once he noticed the water under his feet.

“This looks like-” Saigo is cut off by Reika. “A flood room.”

The water level was rising; it was already above their knees.

“Guys, we have to do something quick.” Yazon said.

“I have an idea, everyone jump up now!” Keisuro shouted.

Everyone does as Keisuro ordered; Keisuro jumped as well quickly unleashing an ice stalagmite from midair pointing at the waters direction, as soon as it came in contact with the high water it froze almost instantly, everyone landed safely on the ice.

            “Good thinking Kei.” Hiruka said.

“Where is the door?” Ushima asked.

“It must be buried under the ice.” Sezuki stated.

“Oh great, what do we do now?” Yazon asked.

“I have just the thing bro.” Sezuki walked to the north end of the room and planted down a small plastic explosive.

“C4, why didn’t I think of that?” Yazon asked himself as he slightly hit his own head with the palm of his right hand.

            “Take cover.” Sezuki said.

Everyone stood back; Sezuki detonated the C4, the ice floor cracked showing them the entrance to the next room. As soon as they entered the room they saw yet another entrance, like a room inside a room.

“This is a strange one.” Bridget said slightly worried.

            “What is it?” Hiruka questioned.

“I’m not sure, but this one looks especially dangerous.” Bridget answered.

            “A hunch?” Sezuki asked.

            “Yeah.” Bridget nodded.

“I’ll take care of this one.” Harayoshi said as he calmly walked towards the entrance, but before he entered Hisana walked beside him.

“I’ll go in as well.” Hisana said.

Harayoshi nodded, both then entered the room, after a few steps the door shut tight, reinforced by steel with an unbreakable glass permitting view inside the room. Harayoshi and Hisana looked back; everyone in the party got close to the sealed door and looked through the window.

            “What’s happening?” Ushima asked.

“What the hell is that?” Reika said pointing to the strange spherical ceiling, many small metal objects could be seen coming from out of the ceiling floating, charging some odd red light. The red lights suddenly turned into a laser and attacked both Hisana and Harayoshi, they both do a back flip at the same time evading the first round of lasers.

            “Bridget! Do something!” Reika shouted.

Bridget swiftly opened her laptop and began hacking into the system. The small objects increased in numbers and began charging its lasers as they floated all around Harayoshi and Hisana, as this happened Stark and Julia were observing through hidden cameras.

“Hahaha, they might have beaten every trap before this one, but they certainly won’t make it out of this final masterpiece, the pinnacle of technological security system.” Stark said proudly.

All the small objects fired their lasers, about ten lasers at the same time, Harayoshi jumped up in midair; Hisana did the same, Harayoshi unsheathed one of his swords and with a wind blade destroyed about five of those things in one shot. Hisana unsheathed her Altergun turning it in gun mode and firing at the other small gadgets also destroying them in the process, they both landed safely on the floor, many more of the objects came out, this time about fifty of them.

“Hurry up Bridget!” Reika shouted once again.

“Wait a minute!” Bridget yelled desperately.

“They don’t have a damn minute!” Yazon said loudly.

Sezuki tried to force open the door, but it was for naught.

“Damn it! The security system is encrypted with a pass code, I have to hack it, but it’s a high level password consisting of sixteen characters!” Bridget said out loud.

“Then you can’t hack it?” Sezuki asked.

“I never said I can’t, I’m just saying it’ll take a minute!” Bridget said loudly.

“Again with the freaking minute.” Yazon sighed.

The objects fired all the lasers, moving as they did, Harayoshi and Hisana made many fancy maneuvers, jumping, back and front flipping, expelling themselves from the walls and from each other.

“Can you freeze them?” Harayoshi asked.

“I can, but it’s not as easy trying to concentrate my Spirit Force, evading and talking with you at the same time.” Hisana said calmly.

“I’ll stop them from moving, but it won’t stop the lasers, I can’t crush them with my wind powers so easily because of my limiter collar.” Harayoshi said.

Harayoshi evaded a laser that was about to slice his head off jumping in midair and back flipping at the same time, he then landed on the floor, he raised his hand, and a very strong wind pressure surged from him, rendering the small gadgets immobile for a small period of time. Harayoshi nodded at Hisana, she landed safely on the floor as well, she then bursts in Spirit Force letting out her ice affinity and freezing all the metal objects, forcing them to cease the lasers. The gadgets all fell down and crumbled as they touched the floor.

            “They did it?” Hiruka asked.

“Not quite, look up again.” Ushima replied still looking into the room.

The whole spherical ceiling opened, suddenly about five hundred of the gadgets floated down and began charging their laser.

“Bridget, if you’re cooking something up, you better do it right now.” Reika said.

“Hurry and use your wind powers to stop them from moving!” Hisana shouted.

Harayoshi raised his hand once more, but as he did the floor began to flood, the walls were turning red of the heat.

            “Damn it!” Hisana mumbled.

All the gadgets separated forming a position all around the room making an impenetrable diagonal grid wall of lasers around Harayoshi and Hisana heading very swiftly at them. As the lasers were about to cut make them into sushi.

“Got it!” Bridget said with a smirk.

Bridget was able to disable the security system, all the gadgets fell on the floor completely nonfunctional, the water drained back in the floor, the walls stopped overheating.

“Damn, not even Kevin McCallister would come up with so many traps.” Yazon stated.

All the business men stood up in panic, Stark was getting nervous.

“No, how could they? That’s impossible!” Stark yelled in disbelief.

The sealed door was deactivated as well; the party crossed the room and found a set of stairs leading up to the one hundredth floor. They soon arrived at the room with all the business men.

            “Had fun?” Harayoshi asked.

“I’ll pay you triple of whatever they’re paying you!” Stark said desperately.

“……” Harayoshi stared sharply at Stark.

“Ten times that!” Stark added in desperation.

“Sezuki, kill them.” Harayoshi said without remorse.

Sezuki grabbed his mini gun once again and shoot violently at all the business men, killing them all rapidly.

“Damn, why’d you bring the whole unit if Sezuki was the only one with the pleasure to kill these guys?” Yazon asked disappointed.

“We move as a unit, just ten of us against all of them.” Harayoshi answered.

            “Sounds reasonable.” Hiruka said.

“How do we get down now? We can’t pass through all those traps you know.” Yazon said.

“The roof, we’ll climb down using these ropes.” Sezuki threw a very long rope on top of the table.

            “Nice one.” Yazon smiled.

They all headed to the roof, Sezuki secured the rope, Harayoshi walked to the edge.

“I’ll wait for you down on the road.” Harayoshi said as he jumped from the high building without the rope; he then landed safely accumulating wind pressure under his feet. Keisuro walked towards the edge as well and jumped, he made an ice board under his feet, surfing on the wind and as he was about to hit the ground he jumped safely next to Harayoshi.

“I’m going to use my own rope.” Ushima said as she secured a rope she had, then climbed down the building, Yazon, Bridget, Reika and Sezuki began climbing down their rope.

“You’d best wait till we’re down; we’re all pretty heavy as it is.” Sezuki said.

“Sure.” Hiruka waited next to the edge of the building, Saigo walked towards the edge as well, but before standing next to Hiruka he turned around and looked directly at Hisana with an evil grin; she just stood there speechless when suddenly she said. “The true traitor here is you Saigo.”

Saigo smiled fiercely and grabbed the sledgehammer from his back.

“So the traitor finally decides to talk.” Saigo said.

“What exactly makes me look like a traitor?” Hisana asked.

“Remember all those times you hesitated and did not comply in following orders when being ordered to kill those scums.” Saigo said.

“Those people were innocent Saigo, I can’t believe you would hold a grudge for such a shameful act.” Hisana said.

“Orders are orders Hisana.” Saigo said.

“Hmm… What are you planning to do, kill me? That would truly be treacherous; Harayoshi will have your head in a silver platter.” Hisana said.

“I’ll simply say you attacked me first and I defended myself.” Saigo said.

“He won’t believe you and kill you anyways.” Hisana said.

“Oh don’t worry about me, I have it all figured out, you got battle high with the spirit dosage of the syringe and attacked me, I got Hiruka here to back up my words.” Saigo said.

“Hehe, yeah, go on ahead and kill her Saigo.” Hiruka said.

“Then come at me, if you really think you can kill me.” Hisana said.

“With pleasure.” Saigo quickly charged at her, bursting in Spirit Force, Hisana quickly unsheathed her Altergun and easily blocked his giant heavy powerful sledgehammer. Hisana also bursts in Spirit Force letting go with one hand her Altergun and punching Saigo very hard in the face pushing him back, he cleaned off some blood from his mouth.

“I guess you’re tougher than I thought.” Saigo remarked.

Saigo took out a syringe and injected himself directly through the heart; he let out a deep pant, and a gigantic Spirit Force came out from him, cracking the floor severely, Hisana fell on one knee because of the enormous Spirit Force Saigo was exceeding, she was barely able to move.

“So you need the Spirit Shot to beat me? And an even higher dose than mines at that. I knew you were addicted to them, but I didn’t think you would go this far, your life will shorten and you will die if you keep this up.” Hisana explained.

“Everything goes in war.” Saigo said.

“This isn’t a war Saigo. Hiruka, why are you helping him?” Hisana asked.

“Let’s just say you’re not my favorite person here.” Hiruka answered.

“I never did anything to any of you.” Hisana said.

“So? Must there be a reason for every little detail?” Hiruka asked.

“Details, details, who needs ‘em?” Saigo asked with a wide smile.

“Hurry up Saigo before they notice, I can only hide all this Spirit Force for so long.” Hiruka said.

“Neat trick, didn’t expect less of the expert tracker of the unit besides Ushima.” Hisana commented.

Saigo in matter of seconds was already attacking Hisana, quickly taking her off guard and head butting her making her fall on the ground more than seven feet away dropping her Altergun. Hisana stood up, Saigo quickly appeared behind her and hit her back with the hilt of his sledgehammer sending her flying once again, then jumped at her hitting her very hard with his sledgehammer directly in her stomach, Hisana coughed out a lot of blood.

“What? You’re out of Spirit Shots aren’t you?” Saigo asked with a laugh.

“Uhhh…” Hisana held her stomach in pain.

“That’s why I always carry a spare.” Saigo said as he walked towards Hisana.

Saigo picked up Hisana by her shirt, he observes her for just a few moments.

“Looking at you from this close, I have to admit you’re really beautiful, it’s a shame, but you have to die.” Saigo said.

Hisana quietly and calmly reached into Saigo’s vest and took his spare Spirit Shot without him noticing, Saigo threw her a few feet away from him, she fell on her face, Saigo walked slowly towards her, Hisana hastily injects herself in her heart as she thought. “A dose this big… Will I even survive it? At this rate I’ll die of an overdose, I’m not used to this dosage…”

Saigo was still walking towards her without noticing that Hisana had injected herself, as soon as he got close he raised his giant sledgehammer up with just his right hand.

“This is the end Hisana.” Saigo said with an evil expression.

Hisana disappears from Saigo’s view, he widened his eyes to this, when he looked behind him, Hisana’s Altergun was nowhere to be found as well, he then felt a massive amount of Spirit Force directly in front of him, he looked behind. Hisana was standing in front of him holding his empty syringe with her left hand; he looked into his vest shocked and looked at her again.

“When did you?” Saigo asked with a blank stare.

“Now I will kill you Saigo.” Hisana said calmly.

Saigo widened his eyes, Hisana charged at him and attacked him making many acrobatics, Saigo evaded them all also making acrobatics, swiftly evading, he countered, Hisana also evaded many times. Saigo then raised his sledgehammer, Hisana quickly went in blade mode with her Altergun and speedily pierced his right shoulder, then swiftly hitting his face with her elbow, then she pulled his right leg making him fall down on the floor. Hisana in a matter of seconds raised her Altergun and slashed his chest, making him drip a lot of blood.

“Uhhh… You!” Saigo pressed against his chest wound in pain.

“This is the end.” Hisana said.

As Hisana was about to chop his head off, a crystal barrier protected Saigo, it was Hiruka, she injected herself with a Spirit Shot as well.

“You won’t be getting away.” Hiruka said from the distance.

“If you fight me, you will die; you know the difference in power.” Hisana said.

“You might be a little stronger than most of us, but against two you are no match.” Hiruka said.

            “Two?” Hisana asked confused.

Saigo got up from the floor with a smile and said. “Yeah, two.”

Hiruka quickly materialized many double edged axes made of crystal and unleashed them all at Hisana simultaneously, Hisana was able to evade by back flipping various times, when she landed, she jumped evading another ax coming straight at her. After landing safely on the floor again, Saigo appeared behind her swinging his sledgehammer viciously; Hisana blocked and kicked him in the stomach, Hiruka appeared behind her and slashed Hisana’s back with an ax made of crystal, Hisana fell on one knee on the ground, she looked back at Hiruka which already had her ax lifted up high in the air. Hisana rapidly thrust her Altergun in the ground, freezing it in the process, but Hiruka jumped immediately avoiding being completely covered in ice.

“Whoa, you had a little secret there eh Hisana.” Hiruka said with a grin. “But I saw you earlier, didn’t think there was another ice user in our unit, you kept it to yourself all this time until now.”

            “……” Hisana readied herself.

“I also have a little secret; I’m a Rosenberg, of the earth user’s family.” Hiruka said.

“Then why do you use crystal powers?” Hisana asked.

“Heh, you see, crystal power is an evolution to earth based power.” Hiruka explained.

“So you’re saying that you’re stronger than an earth user, so what?” Hisana asked.

“What I meant was that the Rosenberg family has always been the best in the military, Gen-Exis always picks their members for special uses from our family first, but since you were here, you were given more praise than even I, who attained crystallization powers.” Hiruka said.

“So there was a reason behind you hating me.” Hisana said.

            “Haha.” Hiruka smiled.

Hisana speedily evaded Saigo’s surprise attack from behind by jumping over him landing on the opposite edge of the building, Hiruka materialized more than twenty axes made of crystal, Hisana was clearly surrounded.

“Nowhere to run Hisana.” Saigo said as he chuckled.

“You’re clearly exhausted, a fall like that and you’ll die surely, a chasm behind you and deadly crystal axes in front of you, what will you do? You will die from both, one more horribly than the other.” Hiruka said.

“If I were to pick one, I’d jump to my death.” Hisana said.

“Then I’ll help you.” Hiruka threw all her axes towards Hisana; Hisana jumped high up to the chasm barely evading the axes, scratching her arms, legs and ribs, then falling down from that height.

“I refuse to die…” Hisana said as she put away her Altergun, still falling down she pointed down with her right arm and palm open. “I have no Spirit Force left to save myself… I guess this really is the end for me.”

Hisana closed her eyes, after a few seconds she fell very hard on many wooden panels, they broke one by one as she fell down, the panels were on a building under construction, she finally stopped falling breaking through the panels and just lied there unconsciously. The day after, it was morning; she woke up and was very hurt.

“Uhh…I’m… alive?” Hisana asked herself with her eyes barely open and her body covered in blood.

Back in the present Seshiro is closely paying attention to Hisana’s story.

“I then decided to go to Xordania, its close Asrael, where I was born, but then I thought it would be better if I started a new life somewhere else farther away, so I decided to move to Lemuria, because I always heard rumors of how peaceful Lemuria was.” Hisana explained.

“I have a question.” Seshiro says.

            “What?” Hisana asks.

“How did you end up in the Aiden Unit or even Gen-Exis in general?” Seshiro asks.

“That’s a long story too, I’ll tell you some other time.” Hisana says.
