When I Breathe

Real love remains, even when the relationship is over. It doesn’t disappear like a mere infatuation or a fling. It remains, like prehistoric petroglyphs carved in ancient stone.

I only think of you

When I breathe.

When I listen to music,

Or watch the sun rise and set.

When I awake,

Or go to sleep and dream.

When I take a road trip,

Or stay home with Amici.

When I have a conversation,

Or savor the silence for a while.

When I walk along the beach,

Or smell fresh flowers.

When I laugh,

Or need a hug.

When I am alone,

Or with somebody.

Because I love you Teresa,

I only think of you when I breathe...
