Arizona Vision

Arizona Vision

A Poem by Doug Ordunio
"

Thinking about deserts

"

Enveloped by excruciating violet awe on this desert night

The cacti giant candelabras on fire

Afire from twilight’s match;

I could hear bats sing

A light breeze silent breath of a lover

Turned over grains of sand

Comfort arrived as the moon strolled

In the isolation of the dunes

Loneliness disappears

And cunningly waits for daybreak

The first line captured me, I know that "excruciating violet awe", the desert is a beautiful inspiring place and you have written a poem that brings visions and memories of moonlight hikes.
