Stay

This is my first poem that tackles environmental issues.

I’ll be delighted
if I'll know I can someday assure,
that the people who will be suffering in the future
can somehow still open another safe door.

I wish they can still breathe the air

that we breathe today.
Clean, fresh, cold and soulful.

Breathing with freedom, no pay.

To fly might be the only way
to cowardly and selfishly escape this world someday.
But I am no coward.

I am no selfish.

I will face and I will pay,
the circumstances of the things I've done,

so I'll stay.

Stay and help for the end can now be seen.
Stay and change the way I have been.
Stay and prepare for the worst the future might face.
Stay and do my best to save the the human race.
