Why my father?

Why my father?

A Poem by Grimm
"

A question

"

Father tell me what have you done.

Why did you choose to leave your son?.

To be held in your arms, held high above.

You weren't prepared to show me your love.

I stood at the gate looking for you.

The promises made, you never came through.

I cried for my father, was I your shame?

Was it just easy, a child to blame.

Now I am older you come back to me.

All full of excuses, expecting to be.

The father of youth who cared for his son.

I wish I could beat you but just simply run.

Stay well away,  you're no father to me.

My mother, your wife, we both could not see.

Your cruelty has hurt us and left us in pain.

Why come here my father, you're truly insane.........

Very well spoken anger! Not overly done though like alot of poets here (yes I mean me!). It's heartwrenching, but good to read the entitlement at the end. I'm in awe of your flow, the way you use your words to get your point across. Great job!
