OVER Dose

title says it all

I felt a rush from head to toe,
then a chorus of angels calling me home.
A shimmering city bright and clean.
A blink , beauty no longer seen.
Crashing back, Slammed down inside.
Curled and clutching , sigh after sigh.
A single tear rolled down my cheek.
so much needs saying , no way to speak.
Darkness interrupted by blinding light.
Saving a friend, mother and wife.
A struggle for all , complete touch and go.
They saved a body , an I lost a soul.
