Prologue & Part 1A Chapter by Isabella Dewynteri wrote this 2 years ago and i really hope u like it :)Prologue The black oblivion of loneliness and yet they continue into
the gaping darkness, all hope ceased and depression taking hold, the wound of
betrayed heavy in there hearts. “Ok class, your Assignment is due tomorrow.
Hand it in to me at the end of the day I’ll be outside the staff room,” Mr
Oldwick announced as the class ended. “Traitor,” Pearl glared at me with black
eyes of death, her straight black hair streaking her pale face and a look of
degust and hatred that would make Satan shudder. My heart lurch in guilt for
what I had done was unforgivable. I abused their trust and now I must pay for
what I have done. Part 1 This is the last living account of Conscience Traditor: “Hey, Conscience, you won’t believe what I just saw.” Those were the words
that changed my life til the end. Then she dragged me over to see Ella
kissing a guy but then we saw him suck the life from her body, leaving her as
limp pale corps. “Whhhaat..t was that?” “I don’t know. What the hell is he doing to h… oh no he is
running.” We run like hell not knowing that from that point on we where ghoul
slayers. We’d being chasing him for hours when he darted into the
courtyard. Where fifteen hunters surrounded him, while we stood there in horror
watching his beautiful face crack and luscious hair went dry and fizzy, he
looked like death itself. I think that’s when I fainted. Melisa was sitting besides me
when I woke; it wasn’t surprising she didn’t faint it takes a lot to make her
faint. Mmm… I’m fairly sure the last time she fainted she was in hospital
because she lost a critical amount of blood in a car ac. She was talking to me
now, her voice lower then a whisper. I eventually murmured, “What?” “Ella’s dead,” the terror in her voice was shattering. “What? What do you mean dead? She can’t be dead; she has an
assignment due tomorrow.” “That boy. That thing… sucked the life out her,” Melisa was
horrified I could see it on face, I could hear it in her voice. I knew it was
true, I knew she was right, we weren’t crazy but that day for once I wanted to
be crazy because the truth is so much worse. “Where are we?” we were in a well lit grey concrete room the
only exit was a big iron door at the other end of the room, there were a couple
of hospital beds with grey sheets I was lying on one with Melisa sitting beside
me on a steel chair with a white cushion. “Some HQ for ghoul hunts, I think that’s what they’re called.” “As in the living dead suck the life out of you and don’t
exist ghoul?” “That what they said after they killed that thing, the
description kinda suits.” “All to well that thing looked like death.” A guy about our age walked in, he was tall and bulky with
longish blond hair and piercing blue eyes. “So your awake that’s good, would
you like me to explain or do you want to join the party first?” his voice was
deep and as soft as velvet. “Party?” “Yeah it’s my sixteenth today,” he replied shyly. “Well happy birthday; let’s party!” He stepped back graciously and sheepishly escorted them into
a huge gym with a DJ and disco lights, there was even a buffet in the corner. The birthday boy turned to me and asked, “would you like too
dance?” “Ahh… yes,” I was dancing with this handsome boy and I
didn’t even know his name. “So what’s your name?” I ventured. “Jimmy, and yours.” “Conscience.” “Well Conscience, you scared?” “Not anymore.” “Good, do you wanna help fight them?” “But I can’t fight.” “I’ll teach you.” © 2015 Isabella Dewynter |
