Waiting For Comfort

You see her strength every day as she goes about life,
facing challenges, overcoming obstacles
Tirelessly fighting every battle she is thrown into
You see her beauty through her many talents
From the angelic music she creates, rising through the air, to the gentle poetic words spoken softly touching your heart

You see her compassion when a friend in need
She is the first to stand by your side, holding your hand
with support and loyalty for as long as time demands
What you cannot see is something she hides deep inside

She is waiting for comfort, she cannot ask
She knows not how or why, maybe it's fear or stubborn pride

There are times when she feels helpless, scared and alone
She is waiting for comfort and no one knows
You cannot see her secret, her pain and grief
What you cannot see is what she needs the most
She is waiting for comfort, someone to hold her
She needs your love to give her relief, give her a home
