In the madness of my mind
I've been holding back the time
trying to keep my place
by slowing down the pace

In the darkness of my dreams
my life isn't what it seems
the fantasy is real
so much more inside to feel

In the warmth of my heart
love is wanting every part
waiting to feel the fire
the relentless burn of desire

In the hollow of my soul
is an empty shallow hole
coldness chilled to the bone
fear of forever being alone

In the madness of my mind
I am always back in time
trying to stop the date
from at last sealing my fate
