Sunshine Smiles

Sunshine Smiles

A Poem by Harlequin
"

My Daughter

"

When Sunshine smiles, she warms my heart.

She chases away, what is left of the dark.

When Sunshine sings, happiness grows.

It wraps around you, with a subtle glow.

When Sunshine laughs, she fills up the room.

The joy she brings, wipes away the gloom.

I am in awe of one tiny face.

When Sunshine smiles she is full of Grace.

.....The last line can barely be read. I almost had to take a magnifying glass to it, lol. But I enjoyed it very much. It reads like a children's poem, which I find very apropos since this is, if I'm reading correctly, about your daughter.... Grace? is that what the last line is supposed to mean (because that would be quite witty if that was the intention). You can easily make Line 4 a full rhyme by taking out the "a" and adding an "s" to "glows" ("it wraps around you with subtle glows). There's better musicality in that too.

This is grand overall, and I very much applaud you for it. Well done!
