Your Disease

Your Disease

A Poem by Harlequin
"

Surviving and healing.

"
I gave you my heart, you devoured it completely
Never caring how much, it hurt me so deeply
I gave you my mind, you twisted it into knots
Leaving me confused, distorting my thoughts

I gave you my soul, you sucked it dry
Laughing as I wept, never telling me why
I gave you my body, you did as you pleased
Scarred and bruised, you left me to bleed

The bruises are gone, the pain has eased
But I will forever feel the effects of your disease
