New Me

New Me

A Poem by herethengoneagain

You can judge me by our past, but my motivation will forever last. In this unforgiving world, I continue changing, seem to be fading as I'm aging. Continue to try not to die, just wait and you will see me fly high to the skies. Didn't expect you would accept that I'm a different person now. I take my bow and leave the stage, will you hold my heart in your steel cold cage? I realize all the lies that were spread, now I'm stuck in my own webbed bed of dread. I begin to gnaw and claw at the threads as she treads on in my head. Often there are times when I feel as though I am dead, but then I fall to my bed and dream of you. That's when it seems, I'm no longer tearing at the seams. In my mind I find the scenes of you and I, and that is why I'll forever endeavor to achieve and believe. Now I'll leave you with one more question. Can you please accept this confession?
