she's got.<3

she's got.<3

A Poem by wicked.wanderer
"

xx.

"

she's got a spring in her step
and an ocean in her eyes
she's screaming from behind
the bars she's placed inside
she's asking for your hand
to help lead her astray
she's feeling overwhelmed
with nothing left to say but

she keeps trying with the
soul of a champion who
can't get enough of themselves

she's got her black liner on
and her plain little mask
she keeps patching herself up
she needs help but never asks
she's trying so hard to break
hearts and walk away but she
keeps finding herself wishing
that she'll be asked to stay but

she can't change like the
weather or the channel

she's got a drying ocean
she's got a bounce
she's gone temperamental
she'll be gone without a sound
she's got your heart twisted tight
around her pretty little words
no matter what she promises
she's going to get hurt

she keeps trying to change.

I feel like I've been drawn in her shoes. The best experience a reader can feel indeed! One thing though I would like to mention, that is quite important with poems are the pauses. It can really add the dark effect and set the mood drastically. To me this sounded like it was suppose to flow, which didn't really need the long pauses/effects. It's just something you can use for the future perhaps. I'm not trying to be the enrage English teacher here, don't get me wrong. It's just so the readers can take the time to breathe in the air and grasp their surroundings.
Other than that, I thought this poem was brilliant!
