Closing the Chapter

Closing the Chapter

A Poem by 100 Times of War

The night sky tries in vain
To mimic his sultry eyes.
The scenic stars dim in shame
To the glimmer of joy in him.

Sometimes I dream of him,
A slave to his allure.
I can't help it
He beckons me to rest.

I feel reason seeping into me,
As I remind myself of my fate,
The fate he assigned me.

But the torture of reality
Forces my eyes shut and
I dream of him one more time....
